My older sister went to be with the Lord on the Saturday before Easter.
She had had a bitter fight with cancer. For four months my husband and I have been responsible for her care. We are both physically and emotionally drained from the experience. I don't know if Al and Sherry knew about my sister, but on Sunday they secretly covered the cost of our lunch at a local restaurant. We are grateful; we are humbled; we are renewed by this sacrificial act of kindness. In them we see the light of Christ, and their act brought joy to two weary hearts. It is far too rare to meet with such pure kindness in this world.
