I was visiting my sons classroom on a day when the teacher

announced that it was the last day for anyone to pay for their field day t-shirts and some students hadn't paid yet. Before leaving the class I asked the teachers how many students hadn't paid and she told me it was only 2, so I went ahead and paid for each of them so that they would not feel left out when everyone else in the class had a "cool" field day shirt once the big day came. The teacher was very surprised and thankful on behalf of the children, and I'm sure the kids were too!
