Have an old car? Have a new car? Don't have a car, but are interested in them? Come join us as we use our vehicles as a platform to share Jesus with the community. Bring the whole family as we grow in knowledge of cars and His word together.

Mission Statement

Corporately we Lead others to Jesus Christ. We Teach them how to walk with God, then we Send them out to be servants of God.

On a personal level, we're on a mission to tell others what life was like before Christ, and what got our attention to come to Christ and how Christ has changed our lives since we have come to know Him.

Event - Lemon Racing

Sept. 25-26 - 24 Hours of Lemons, a 2 day "racing" event.

The idea here is to build a car for $500.00 and get it on the track for 24 hours of fun racing.

Themed cars and teams are all the rage, so we are leaning toward building the car around the Dwelling Place Logo and theme. Your fearless team leaders are Danny Broyles, Jamie Michaelson and Steve Fricker. We are planning a work day soon, so if you want to help, please see one of us. If you can't help, come support us at the track in September, hopefully we'll still be racing or eating ice cream which ever works out the best.

Participation

Cars for Christ is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Lexington. Anyone is welcome to attend the Life Group and join in on cruising events. However, Cars for Christ adheres to basic requirements that bring honor to the Lord Jesus and the church.

Whenever we team up with another car group event such as fund raisers or other ventures, Cars for Christ adheres to the basic requirements of not endorsing or participate in illegal racing, recreational drugs, drinking alcohol beverages, the use of profanity, or sexual promiscuity.

We are a Christian outreach based ministry. We are here to enjoy, to rebuild, and to restore our God given chariots and to exalt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ministry Goals

1. Have organized outreach events yearly that would include car shows and cruises to reach those seeking to fill a spiritual void in their lives.

2. Have activities where the community is served regularly to show the love of Christ.

3. To teach youth how to serve others and honor God through their interest in cars.
